At first I thought dumb and cliquey, but I think I've crossed over because the friend list does make it easier to follow people's posts that I enjoy reading. So instead of me having to do a search to stalk wp and bethsiar...I can now just click into my profile.
ETA: It can be a popularity contest if you are thinking about #s. Or it can just be a tool in your profile and that's all. Depends on how you see it.

I didn't really see any drama either - just people discussing the positives and negatives of a new feature.
Personally, I think it's helpful for LIF to recieve both positive and negative feedback on a new feature!
Change is good!
I agree. Right now I don't see the benefit, but I guess if the website grows and grows it could be useful.
As of right now though, I don't think it is hard to "find" anyone on here.

Now that is just not nice Maybe they just didn't understand what they were clicking- it is a new feature
I like that if I want to send a fm I don't have to remember how to spell names. I just click on my friends from my family and send an FM from their. That is where I see the value.
