friends who dont have kids
i feel like i am losing all of my friends who are not parents. they never call or ask to hang out. they cancel long standing plans. i am the only one of my friends who has a child, so needless to say i am very lonely.
i have tried and tried to meet new mommies- i take tons of classes with hannah. but i am so sad that friends that i have had for years and just doing things without me.
sorry but i just needed to get that out. a long time friend just canceled for hannah's b-day party and i am very upset. i know she has a good reason, but it still hurts.
anyone else feel that way?

Re: friends who dont have kids
I am went through the same thing and so is my bro and his wife.
It's getting better now though since our families and some friends are pg, but our married friends with no kids def sometimes don't get it and pull away cause they think we have nothing in common anymore. It's sad, I am me, not my kids, I haven't changed-only my priorities. We found out who are real friends are.
It hurts, but just know you are so not alone

I think every mommy goes through this and you have to find some mommy friends, which is not easy either.

I Agree. Hey, you have us. Talk to you friends and tell them how you feel, they will understand. I am sure they ae not being malicious, they just do not know what is is like to move 100 things around and get a sitter just to go out with your friends for a hour. Hang in there.

Re: friends who dont have kids
I know how you feel...
I have a question that maybe thinking out of the box a little here - are these friends married? Could they be TTC? Do you think maybe, if thats the case, it may be painful to be around a baby and 1st bday party which may be loaded with kids?
