Front entry way door color
what color is your front entry way door? Especially if your house is a beigy / sand / clay color with white trim
We're starting to consider this and have to make the decision this week or next at the latest

Ours is white but you should drive around and see what other houses have. I've seen a lot of great dark red/blue doors on houses - something I wouldn't have thought of.

i would LOVE to have my house (gray) repainted (wood shingles) tan but i was quoted approx 7-8k.  anyway, i AM going to have it painted a darker gray. gray or tan, i would go w/ a red/burgandy painted door. you could also go w/ a blue or a green. what colors are your shutters a roof?
eta: the door should pop so i would avoid a muted color. as mnetioned, my house is a light grey. the shutters are black and the door is BM classic burgandy.
other colors i like for a tan house are BM:
- hamilton blue
- country redwood
- cottage red
- essex green

One of the things I would love to do is get a red door. Our house is sand-beigey. I would love to paint the shutters black (they are a dark olivey-brown now) and get a red door.

I would go with either a red or black.

Friends of mine just had their outside re-done in a sagey green shingle and they painted their front door a dark dusty pink. It looks awesome!

We are having everything done - the house color will be sand or clay or wicker (they are all sin the same color family, just different shades)
THe roof is still undecided - either charcol, slate or weathered wood (a kinda really dark brown)
No shutters - the guy we hired does a lot of custom moulding around the windows and we all (him & us) agreed to wait on shutters (which we would do the same as the door)
Wehave to decide everything this weekend - we've spend hours and hours driving around looking at houses
We are near the water and want to go with a 'coastal' look - with tall grasses, etc

our door right now is red (FH hates it)
when we do new siding, we are doing the tan siding with black roof and black shutters and a black door.

i actually prefer when the door is a different color than the shutters. again, makes the door really pop. i.e white house, black roof, black shutters, red door. LOVE it!

Our new siding color is BM Adobe Beige and our roof is charcoal. I plan on doing the shutters and exterior doors in dark blue. I like BM Newburyport Blue or Hale Navy.
