Frozen Breast Milk Stash Compromised?
I just noticed that the freezer door was not shut properly and most of my frozen stash (probably 250 ounces?) is slushy. Some of it is still pretty solid and some of it is liquid. It is all cold though. What should I do?
I am not even going to address how aggravated I am by this situation.

According to the paper I got from the NICU, they said thawed breastmilk would have to be used within 24 hours! So as much as it sucks, I would keep the ones that are still hard (aka frozen) and get rid of the rest if I couldn't use it in a day.
Not sure if anyone else has heard otherwise.

I'm sorry. Once it thaws, you have to use it immediately, or toss it.
