It was an easy choice for us, because it was the only town that was halfway between my job and my DHs, AND had home prices we could afford! As it turns out, it's also a nice community with good schools, so if we stay for the longer term, it'd work out well as a place for us to have a family. Whether we'll stay here or move eventually remains to be seen though.

I'm not on LI, but our priorities were the school district, proximity to work, and proximity to highways since I drive all over the state to meet with clients. We looked in about 5 or 6 towns in our area and luckily found a house in the town that was at the top of our list.

2. more bang for your buck
3. school districts are great!!
4. quiet neighborhoods
5. lots of shopping nearby
6. family community!!

i LOVE it!!

ETA... DH commutes to the city also.. takes the Hicks ville line.. which is so close.. and its a major stop.. so the times are great!!

I am so confused I have no idea where I want to buy. All i know is that we commute to the city and we want space and good schools. Also we need something under 480,000 Could you tell me why you chose to buy your home and what you like about your area. Nassau County please!!! Thanks Im just so frustrated
