Frustration regarding ovulation timing
Typically have two days in a row of positive OPKs, so I thought I had some time...this month, I was wrong! tuesday, got a negative; Wednesday, got a positive; today, got a negative!
Unfortunatley we didnt BD last night and now we've missed the window. I'm so upset...even though I know I have a really short luteal phase (i'm in teh process of talking to my doctor about me going on clomid) and its pretty much not going to happen anyway on my own, but i'm still so dissappointed...
Being that I already ovulated, do you think that if we BD tonight I still have a chance????

Re: Frustration regarding ovulation timing
You have a 36 hour window after getting a + OPK, so if I am doing my math right, you still have a chanve tonight. I don't think you missed your window.

Re: Frustration regarding ovulation timing
You don't ovulate immediately after getting your smiley. Also you are suppose to BD a couple days after as well.
Its not too late. Good luck!

Re: Frustration regarding ovulation timing
I hope you ladies are right, but I have another question. Being that I didnt detect a surge this morning, wouldnt that mean that I already ovulated?
I thought that your surge "lasted" until you ovulated. And it's at the point of ovulation that your surge "goes away". Am I getting that wrong???

Re: Frustration regarding ovulation timing
I am not 100% on the surge, but if you read the instructions or the claim on the box, it says it tells you the two best days for conception and ovulation can occur 12-36 hours after the surge is detected. I *think* the LH surge tells you body to release the agg, but it there is a lag time in when the release happens. I am sure you can find out more info on the internet than my unmedical explaination
