questions about ovulation timing and symptoms - updated with beta
I had a very long cycle AND didn't use OPKs or temp so I dont really know when I ovulated. I'm looking back at my iPeriod calendar and trying to piece everything together and figure out an EDD because I know basing things on my LMP is not accurate.
CD35 I had what I believe to be large amounts of EWCM, but only for one day. I also BD earlier that day but never saw "leftovers" that clear or stretchy.
CD39 we BD. (the magic time?)
CD41 I had pink spotting and mild cramping. (ovulation?)
CD45 - started drinking red rasp leaf tea
CD48-49 I had a sore throat, stuffy nose, cramping (mild on CD48 and strong on CD49), was emotional, and got a giant pimple. (implantation? 7-8dpo?)
CD52 - BFN (11dpo?)
CD56 I got my BFP. (15dpo?)
This would make me appx 4w3d. Does this timeline make sense? Does ovulation spotting occur the day you actually ovulate? is it possible to have EWCM that far in advance? I get my beta results back today and I'm really nervous ... hopefully that will give more info?
FWIW, I found iPeriod really useful for tracking symptoms. It's free and I highly recommend it

Re: questions about ovulation timing and symptoms
First of all, congratulations!!!
Second, yes you can definitely have lots of CM days before you ovulate. I actually have a lot of it 3-4 days before ovulation, and it dries up the day of ovulation itself.
I think the best indicator you gave was that you got a bfn on day 52 and a bfp on day 56. To me that sounds like on day 52 you were less than 12 dpo and on day 56, you were 12 or more dpo. That means that even if you don't know the exact date of conception / implantation, you'll be within 4 days of the real date. I'm sure that's fine for estimating a due date.
Have a happy and a healthy 9 months! Oh, and some sticky dust:

Re: questions about ovulation timing and symptoms
thank you! My beta results were 142. Nurse said it was "low" and that they wanted me in for a second beta Monday to make sure my numbers are rising but I'm pretty sure she was basing the low estimate off of my LMP. I had a long cycle and think I ovulated late (CD41) so I estimate I was only 4w2d on the day of my beta. that also aligns with testing BFN friday but BFP tuesday.
we'll see... I may call the dr tomorrow to discuss.

Re: questions about ovulation timing and symptoms - updated with beta
Found this online for you. Looks like your beta is totally within range as long as you're less than 20 dpo:
* At 14 DPO, the average HCG level is 48 mIU/ml, with a typical range of 17-119 mIU/ml. * At 15 DPO, the average HCG level is 59 mIU/ml, with a typical range of 17-147 mIU/ml. * At 16 DPO, the average HCG level is 95 mIU/ml, with a typical range of 33-223 mIU/ml. * At 17 DPO, the average HCG level is 132 mIU/ml, with a typical range of 17-429 mIU/ml. * At 18 DPO, the average HCG level is 292 mIU/ml, with a typical range of 70-758 mIU/ml. * At 19 DPO, the average HCG level is 303 mIU/ml, with a typical range of 111-514 mIU/ml. * At 20 DPO, the average HCG level is 522 mIU/ml, with a typical range of 135-1690 mIU/ml. * At 21 DPO, the average HCG level is 1061 mIU/ml, with a typical range of 324-4130 mIU/ml.

Re: questions about ovulation timing and symptoms - updated with beta
thank you! i dont think i could be much further along than 4w3d now because I tested BFN 4 days earlier on the exact same test I've been getting BFPs on.
