FTM Question for BTDT Moms (X-post from pregnancy board)
Any tips or suggestions on things you had (or wish you had) at home after having the baby? Please feel free to add recommendations for things for the hospital, but I think I have a good handle on that. Just trying to stock up on anything I might not have thought of! :)

Prepared food, snacks and easy to prepare meals. I didn't have enough and didn't realize I would never be able to put DD down ever for the first few weeks. The first two weeks usually skate by it's pretty easy with visitors and DH being home but after that, it gets hard!
Oh, a nice big water bottle to constantly hydrate while breastfeeding. I finally got one for my third. Lol

Granny panties (if you have a C section), maxi pads, breast pads, nursing bras/tanks, and Motrin.

I wish I bought depends. I had a leakage problem for 2 weeks post delivery. It sucked. Make sure you get a bottle of the spray and take home the spray bottle for cleaning yourself. Besides that I was pretty good at home.

Homemade frozen meals were a life saver or things that could easily be thrown into the slow cooker.

Agreed! I made a lot of meals for the freezer and it was a huge lifesaver. DD was a very easy baby but come 6pm she wanted to nurse nonstop until bedtime so dinner was tough (seems very common for ebf babies).
A big water bottle is definitely necessary if you'll bf. I have a few camelbak straw bottles and can't recommend them enough. Without them I'd never drink enough water. Also easy snacks like trailmix and granola bars that you can grab in the motn during feedings. I was always starving and would pack a little basket with snacks, lanolin, a notepad and pen, and the remote before I went to bed so that I'd have whatever I needed during a feeding and could easily move it from one side to the other when I switched.
After delivery, I went through tons of witch hazel pads, 2 cans of dermoplast, and regular always infinity pads (the overnights were way overkill for me), lansinoh nursing pads. Lots of advil and also dulcolax the first few days. I had a few tubes of lanolin so that it was always handy to apply after every feeding. Also the number for a good LC is great to have on hand.
ETA- Lots of thank you cards and stamps are really helpful. Also I made sure to get a complete list together with current addresses for DD's birth announcement. Your shower list is a good start but for me there were lots of other people I wanted to add. Even with that done it was a pain to get them out so I was really glad I had done that. I also ordered baby girl theme return address labels which were inexpensive and cute.

Re: FTM Question for BTDT Moms (X-post from pregnancy board)
Definitely what other posters have mentioned - maxi pads, witch hazel pads, Dermoplast, something that may help you have a bowel movement (I didn't use anything, but my obgyn suggested a suppository), comfortable and large panties, nursing bras if you decide to nurse, definitely comfortable clothes like sweats, t's, sweatshirts, etc.
I didn't have a lot of time to eat in the beginning, so anything quick and easy. I also saw a good tip after the fact to have on hand something like Odwalla juices, so if you're not eating you can drink that and at least it's filling and you're getting vitamins.
For baby, just so you're not running around when you get home, diapers, wipes, formula, bottles, pump and pumping supplies, onesies, bath stuff.
