Lovenox Moms-another cross post from pregnancy to get the advice of BTDT moms
If you were on Lovenox during your pregnancy, were most of you induced? The plan was for me to be induced, but one of the doctor's at the group practice I go to just mentioned that he doesn't see any need. This is the first time in my 36 weeks that it was suggested I not be induced.
I want an epidural and I had thought that if you want the epidural you need to be off blood thinners and that is why you get induced (so they can monitor your levels and pick the right time to induce you).
However, I just want to check with everyone else.

I had a c-section. DD was already 10 days late and apparently your risk increases greatly every day past your due date with MTHFR. And she wasn't progressing at ALL so my OB suggested a scheduled c-section, as opposed to putting me through labor and winding up with a c anyway.
I was off Lovenox and on Heparin the final month - well month and 10 days!! Heparin has a shorter half-life than Lovenox. I didn't take anything the day of the c. I had an epidural.
PS I was on Lovenox again after the birth and for 6 weeks. Now I don't take anything, I met with a hematologist yesterday and they are running blood work again, but she thinks I will not need to be on anything from now on!! Now if only all my bruises would heal!

I was on lovenox and was induced for the exact reason you stated...no epi if you have lovenox in your system. I was switched to heparin at 38 weeks and induced at 39. I wound up with a c-section but I think that would have happened anyway...dd was 9 1/2 lbs

The only thing I take now is a once a day folic acid and b complex which I will need to take every day, forever,.....oh yeah, and no going back on the pill for me (I cannot have the hormones)
