FTWM of 3 kids anyone??
Thinking about TTC #3. I have to work but can hopefully take off at least 6 months. Would love to hear the good bad and ugly of having 3. I have an 8 year old and soon to be 5 year old.

Re: FTWM of 3 kids anyone??
I have 3 and work full time. It's tough sometimes but it doesn't have as much to do with working as it does with being pulled in 3 directions. My older two are 7 and 8 and my little one is 2.5.

Re: FTWM of 3 kids anyone??
I have 3. 7, 9 and 10. Having them so close together was easier when they were little. I thought it would get easier as they got older. Now that they are all very into sports, especially my older 2 it has become more difficult. I dont know how we will manage down the road when my little guy gets more into it as well but we will figure it out. If you want #3 then go for it, you will find a way to handle it all.

Re: FTWM of 3 kids anyone??
I have a 7 year old, 6 year old, and 4 month old. The good- the older 2 are able to help with the baby quite a bit! If I'm running late in the morning, both kids are capable of feeding the baby a bottle of pumped milk while I get ready. If the baby wants attention, the older two play with the little guy. The bad- the little one is almost like a third wheel right now and has to tag along for every sport and after school activity. Getting the older two to their activities takes a little longer since I have to pack up the baby or use a baby carrier or stroller when we get to where we're going.

Re: FTWM of 3 kids anyone??
I have 3 (16 months, 4 and 7 1/2) and have been back at work since #3 was 4 months old.
I work M-F 8-4 and my husband works Tues-sat 8-4.
I don't find it hard at all. Maybe I'm just used to it.
What exactly do you want to know?

Sorry to the OP for hijacking, but I'm curious too.

Personally, I'm trying to mentally work out the logistics. What kind of childcare did you use, daycare or nanny? How do you get 3 kids out the door and get to work on time? Since your kids are bigger, how do you juggle homework, birthday parties, activities? How much coffee am I going to be drinking on a daily basis?

We have a sitter who watches kids in her home. I work at 8am, as does my husband. When my 3rd was a baby, he would wake at 5:30am so one of us would get up then. Otherwise we get up at 6:10 every morning. I jump in the shower and my husband goes downstairs to make lunches. I come down at 6:30 (he then showers), feed the dog, feed the cats, get the backpacks ready, finish making lunches if needed, get breakfast ready, then get each of the kids up, get them dressed, breakfast, pack lunch bags. My husband comes down at 7:15. I go upstairs and get dressed (I wear a robe so the baby doesn't get food on my work pants). He brushes their teeth and does last minute stuff. We leave at 7:30. 1 drops our oldest to school and the other drops the other 2 kids at the sitters.
Homework my oldest does when we get home at 4:30 if he hasn't finished it at Project Most, the after school program. Birthday parties... 1 takes the kid to the party and the other stays home. SOmetimes we're coming and going and we are rarely at home. Add in baseball practice, basketball, swim lessons for #2, etc etc. You just figure out a schedule that works and value the quiet days.
On Saturdays my oldest has basketball so I bring all 3 with me. I pack their lunches and try to keep them sitting eating for as long as possible.
I basically never sit until 7:30pm. I go to bed by 9:30/10pm. Sundays my husband and I rotate who gets to sleep in. And I LOVE my coffee.

I am! We are a rare breed! Most assume I stay home because I have 3. Almost 2 yo, 3 yo, and 4 yo!!!!
I work in upper management in a VERY high stress field that requires long hours.
We use a sitter in her home. My oldest is starting K this fall, so things will get even harder when he starts having homework and more activities.
Daycare for 3 FT is around 1k a week! Our sitter is still not much less, but we pay her a ton each week.
It is hard getting them out. Its a big rush job.
I don't get to bed until midnight or 1 am, mostly because I work from 10pm until then many nights.
I don't have time to do anything....EVER!
We don't have family help, so if you do I don't think 3 would be a big deal at all. We have no one close by to call in a pinch. It can be lonely as my life is just about my kids and work, so not much time to do anything.
Don't let my response discourage you! I have always been a worker bee, so this is just who I am! I do love being a successful career woman juggling a 2, 3, and 4 yo, and managing to somehow do a decent job at it (I hope!).

FTWM of 3 kids anyone??
I am a FTWM of 4! 12, 9, 5 and 6 months My hours are 9-5 M-F and I am also the treasurer of the PTO, team mom for cheer, girl scout leader, advancement chair for boy scouts etc.
Chaos is my sanity if that makes sense. We just make it work. My 3 oldest are involved with scouts, sports, and competitive sports that take up a lot of our time and money (and travel)
We have no family help what so ever it's just my husband and I, we are not rich, we are not even well off. Hell we aren't even "comfortable". In exchange I dont sleep, I hardly ever sit, laundry suffers sometimes, and I never know whether I'm coming or going...but it's empowering to me and that makes it worth it.

I feel the same! Never sleep! It's a rare night for me, I just put on the dryer. It's after 1 am .

Wow I couldn't do it! Give you both lots of credit. I need my health and sanity and low stress life lol.
