Sept is the most popular because it is 9 months after New Years Eve according to the hospital my SIL gave birth to my niece in.
She was born 9/20/2000 and it was about 9 months after the Millenium New Year. Southside Hospital maternity was so crowded that they ran out of beds, they pulled from other areas and tried to borrow from Good Sam. Their Maternity ward was full too. They had beds lining the hall(there were no rooms left) and if you were in early labor, you had a chair or you could walk the halls My SIL was in an office across from the nurses station, with no phone/TV, just her and a desk and filing cabinets(and the bed they pushed in there)
The nurses said it was the busiest that they had ever seen it EVER! They postponed all scheduled deliveries.

The trend is really interesting too.
#s 1-10 are between September 9 - 24th, so everyone is  around Christmas time!
Winter blues.
Not Christmas . . . all that  on New Year's Eve = which =  .
Says the poster with the September 16 birthday!!!
DD's (and DH) rank is 283 - which surprised me b/c she was conceived on that other big drinking day of the year . . . St. Patrick's Day!!
