Fun question for the day
When did you first feel like a mom/dad? I know some people say that the moment they get their BFP they feel it. '
For me, I had a hard time bonding with my son while I was pregnant. DH and I were lucky enough to get pregnant the first month we tried and I was thrilled. I was so scared my entire pregnancy that there would be a problem that I did not enjoy my pregnancy at all.
At 35 weeks I was already dilated and put on bedrest which caused more anxiety.
I finally had DS at 37 weeks and when he was born I felt a tremendous amount of relief that I made it. It was a few minutes before I saw him because they were cleaning him up and stitching me up and I had a few complications that they were dealing with. When everything was finally done (about 15 minutes later) DS had been screaming the entire time, They wrapped him up and gave him to me and I said Shh Brady it's okay. He literally immediately stopped crying and went to sleep. That was my moment. He melted my heart right there as he knew who I was and that he was safe with me. He has melted my heart every day!
So when was your moment?

Re: Fun question for the day
I didn't feel like a mom when I got the BFP but felt it after the 20 week sonogram when I found out I was having a boy. That's when I started bonding with my baby. I would call him by his name, I just felt more connected knowing who he was. The days that I spent at the hospital I would call his name and it was like he knew his name. Same exact thing happened with the second pregnancy. I bonded and felt connected the same way when I found out I was having another boy.

Re: Fun question for the day
With my 1st one it took some time. I was young 19 and it was a surprise to his dad and I. I did not feel like a mom during the pregnancy and I want to say it even took me a week or two after giving birth to actually accept that I was a mom. I'm not sure if it was because I was young, not married, or just being scared but when I would hold him I just new how lucky I was that god gave me him and he changed my life for the better. With my other two I was married and a little older and once I got my BFP I felt it right away. Maybe because I was already a mom I don't know, but all I can remember is shaking while taking the test and just praying it would be positive and when then were I would just hold my belly and thank god again for letting me become a mommy again and again
