I know as much as we are grateful to our parents or IL's for helping out I'm sure there are things they do that we have to cringe, BUT we can Chat Icon ... Laugh it off.
My parents live around the corner from us and watch the boys on Fridays. My dad is retired and my mom has off Fridays. My dad also watches the boys if the daycare is closed and we have to work or one of the boys is sick

DS2 is 7 months. Last month I came home to see an empty baby food jar on the counter and saw it was "chicken and apples"
Yes it was in our cabinet (really for the toddler b/c once in a while it's the only way I can get him to have protein), but DS2 hasn't had chicken yet. Well, at least I know he's not allergic. LOL

Also, my niece (who is now 12) was the first grandchild in the family. My parents were so excited to have their first overnight and took lots of pics.
My sister and I were looking at the pics they developed a week later after they babysat and there was my niece Jordyn in the sink getting a bath and a bottle of "Dreft" on the counter next to her. Yes, they washed the baby is Dreft. Chat Icon
