Funny story about NYC's dial-a-teacher
If you don't work in NYC..dial a teacher is a hotline that they give to the kids if they need help with HW
So at the end of the day one of my boys says to me "Mrs M. I called dial a teacher the other night and a man answered so I got scared and hung up" so I said why were you scared and then I realized he thought it was the number to my house I said were you calling for help or did you just want to chat and he said that he just wanted to say hi
That story made my day and it was so cute.

My UFT rep said they track who calls and barely anyone from our school uses it which is not surprising. They all want the sticker though
