Furniture Donation
Can anyone recommend an agency or charity that can come to my house and pick up furniture to be donated?
Thanks!

Re: Furniture Donation
Big Brothers Big Sisters Furniture Donation You need five large pieces & they have restrictions on types.
St. Vincent de Paul also picks up: http://www.svdpusa.org/AboutUs/FindaThriftStore/tabid/174/language/en-US/Default.aspx

Re: Furniture Donation
good luck with this. most of these orgs want furniture in almost new condition.
You can check with The INN in Hempstead or REstor in Ronkonkoma (http://suffolkrestore.com/donations).
I had the same problem and ultimately posted it "at the curb" under "free" on Craigslist. I found there are a lot of people who are in need right in my own neighborhood. Several inquiries and a few hours later all pieces were gone.
Good luck.
