Furniture Shopping & BRU in Westbury Vent
Yesterday I went furniture shopping. I stopped at Behr's, then Babies R Us in Massapequa, they had a set I liked but it wasn't in the warehouse.. they said that they would accept my Buy Buy Baby 20% coupons, but couldn't order it if it wasn't in the warehouse yet. I already stopped at BBB previously and did not find anything I liked, so I figured I'd just stop at the Westbury BRU to see if they had that set or maybe more sets since its a bigger store. Well when I got there I stood by the furniture desk for like, 15 minutes before I tracked someone down working in the store. He paged someone and then 5 minutes later, this rude, nasty woman comes over and is like "yeah, ok, i'm here.. what do you want" (like, uh really?) So I go over to the furniture set I was looking at and ask about using the 20% coupons and she starts shouting "NO ABSOLUTELY not, you cannot use the coupons on furniture ABSOLUTELY NOT"... I then tried to explain that the people at BRU in Massapequa were more than willing to accept my coupons and she kept shouting "NO ABSOLUTELY NOT" I was like, ok whatever lady.. and left the store... needless to say I ended back up at BRU Massapequa and saw another set I liked that I was able to order (and use my 20% coupons on) but based on my experience at the Westbury store I will never step foot in there again!!
Anyway the only thing is my furniture set is going to be delivered in 7-14 days... I was hearing that all these sets took weeks to come in so the baby's room is no where near ready, I guess I will have to keep the pieces in the living room when they arrive until we paint!

What an awful experience! I really don't know how some people end up working in retail.
At least you found a set you like and were able to use your coupon at the other store!

Wow that sucks, we had a great experience and even opened a CC and got an additional 10 % off.
Our furniture came in less then 2 weeks and just left it in the boxes in the baby's room. The glider took @ 2 months though.
We also didnt have it shipped to us, we had it go to a TRU right by us and picked it up
