Furniture Stores on 110
DH and I need to look for a new DR table-- the one we have, which we really like-- needs to be returned-- as this is our second one already-- and this weird split keeps happening to it.
Anyway- it's french country style-- with the whole rustic thing going on-- we'd like to get something similar-- any stores that you can suggest on 110 would be great-- since we'll be out on LI this weekend.
TIA!

Re: Furniture Stores on 110
Check out Seigermans. They have a HUGE selection of furniture. They have a wide range of prices too. We bought our sectional there and will go back when we want more furniture. They are just North of the Southern State. Don't run away when you first walk in (lots of formica and animal print in the front of the store). They have lots of other styles too, including Traditional and Country. We dealt with the saleswomen Alicia (Alisha?) a petite blonde women who was NOT PUSHY and did not have a pinky ring.
ETA: Also- there is another large furniture store across the street.. can't remember the name though.

Hey Randi-
Try Countrytique - its in Huntington, but on Jericho right off of 110. If you take 110 north to Jericho and then take a left (heading west) it will be up about a mile on the left. They have great stuff - a little pricey but beautiful!
Countrytique
I have to FM you and update you on what is going on with me! Sorry I have been out of touch!

I went there too and saw her! She was so nice but my DH ****** her off because he couldn't make a decision. She is really good with colors so we went there for the couches.

Re: Furniture Stores on 110
We ordered from the Place also (which is the big store across from Seigermans). THey have a big selection. We've received our DR set and LR furniture. They came with some minor problems. They had a repair guy there in a week and they're fine now. Our bedroom furniture is another story. Took 5 months to get the first set (6 months now and still no headboard/footboard!). It looked like crap and I wanted to send it back. They said I had to keep and someone would come look at it to say if it could be fixed. I said I didn't want it fixed, I wanted new. They sent someone who looked and took pictures. They said they'd send me a new set...another 8-10 weeks! But I still have the crappy set and they said I could use it like it was mine to keep while I wait. This has been a large pain in the a$$, but customer service hasn't been that bad and, from what I hear, furniture just seems to be a nightmare for so many people. Someone has a story from every store.

I also had an issue with the Place. As well as Levitz..

Re: Furniture Stores on 110
Check out Penn Furniture and Pottery Barn as well. We got ours at PB and they weren't much more than the other stores and the quality is just excellent. We love our diningroom table. It's the plantation table--which I think is now called the Montego collection. The Walt Whitman store is excellent!

I love Siegerman's too. We bought furniture there last year and went back this year for more pieces to complete the set. They have all styles and loads of sample fabrics. We got a break on the delivery charge because we were repeat customers.

Re: Furniture Stores on 110
There is aplace called Pieces for the Home it is off the LIE service Road right before Ski stop (I think exit 48 on the LIE )so you should stop there and then continue on to 110...
All they have is country-french, rustic stuff...
very nice place..

I've seen some things I like at JCPenny online at very good prices. I want to see it in person though. The one dining set I really liked they don't have in the store.

My aunt bought her entire bedroom and living room set from Rose furniture in North Carolina. The discount she received was amazing! http://www.rosefurniture.com/
My neighbor did the same as well, but she bought a lot of extremely expensive pieces ($30,000 dining room table, etc).
I've heard great things about buying furniture from NC, but I haven't done it yet
