Further on Voting for Kamala
What makes you think she is qualified to be President? What has she done as VP that would you make the decision to vote for her?
Not a Trump fan either so just putting that out there.

Further on Voting for Kamala
I would honestly vote for ANY other person besides JD Vance and Trump at this point.

I don't want Trump either but we saw how it was with Trump and do people really think we are doing better with Biden? Especially financially.
I can never get an answer on her qualifications when asked only people bashing Trump.
What has she done these last 4 years? Does anyone not see the influx of illegals in this country, even this state? THAT was one of her main jobs and she failed at that one alone.

Further on Voting for Kamala
Harris was not put in charge of US border security. That falls under the jurisdiction of the department of homeland security.
It may be a good time to remember that the Senate Republicans (all but one) blocked a bipartisan border security bill that was meant to crack down on migration and reduce illegal crossings. That was just a few months ago.
As for feeling financial pains, that’s not on the president… In fact, the federal trade commission just announced it's investigating the price of groceries. Unfortunately, many food companies have been price gouging because they can… When you go to see how many food companies there are, it’s very small. Nestlé, PepsiCo, Coca-Cola… They own pretty much every food and beverage brand.
She aligns with most moderate dem values. For that, I’m happy to vote for her.
I do find it very telling that the former Vice President Mike Pence is not endorsing Trump. I’m not a historian, but I can’t recall a time that’s ever happened in modern times. I don’t think it’s talked about often enough… There’s also a coalition of Republicans who have also jumped ship and are now voting for Harris. I think most reasonable people would agree that it is dangerous to democracy to have someone who will likely refuse to leave office yet again if he is elected. In addition to praising dictators, he has also floated the idea of remaining in power and is something that many of his “fan base“ have embraced. That type of philosophy has no place in the US.

Re: Further on Voting for Kamala
I know I am going to regret returning but ....Everyone seems to forget 2020 and what it was like to live in the US during that year. Massive unemployment, lines for food because people couldn’t afford food. Housing prices climbing aggressively. Shelter costs make up over 30% of the CPI index used to measure inflation.
Fiscal policy takes about 2 years to feed in to the economy. Trump’s budget was in place until 10/2021 and his fiscal policies of 2017-2019 were just starting to be felt by the US people.
Inflation was global. I don’t think any president or congress could have done any better than what was accomplished.
As far as Harris’ qualifications – She was elected as senator from the most populist state in the union. She served as AG for the state; elected twice.
Her accomplishments as VP – Central America Forward. This has accomplished cutting migration from Central America by about 50%. You can read more about it and what it’s mission is.
Her work on voting rights. Gun violence protections. Access to healthcare for women. Infrastructure Law.

Re: Further on Voting for Kamala
I will add that the Biden Adm. has been working more than any recent previous administrations, inclusive of Obama, on anti trust enforcement. When you have 2 companies that control a market - the consumer gets price manipulation. That is why the Jet Blue deal was crushed and the recent ruling against Google. Anti trust is good for the consumer.

Re: Further on Voting for Kamala
Current rate is 3.4%. The reason they were low during TSF was due to the legacy of the 2008 financial crisis, Fed Reserve actions and COVID. Lets talk jobs.TSF lost 2.7 million jobs while Biden/Harris added 15.4 million jobs. That's a lot of paychecks for people. Whereas the only people working when TSF was president were hospital staff and morticians with all the people TSF killed by his response to COVID.

They didn't "ADD" jobs, those jobs were just halted during Covid and they were opened back up.

Re: Further on Voting for Kamala
15 million added to TSF losses of 2.7 million because of his handling of the pandemic. If you want to exclude that Biden/Harris still created 8 million jobs. Plus we don't need to employ all these fact checkers since TSF is out of office that would be another 500,000 jobs just to keep up with all his B.S. Almost forgot another few hundred thousand workers who make BB for all the casualties of TSF handling of COVID.

I assume you mean Trump with TSF?
I really wanted answers on this post about Kamala and what her accomplishments were to consider voting for. These posts always turn into Trump bashing (even though I do NOT like him and don't want to vote for him either).

If you want the post to be about Harris, don't rebut with fallacies such as the jobs added were just the jobs that stopped during CoVid. The amount of jobs added under the current administration far outweighs jobs lost during 2020. Your answers and rebuttals need to also keep Trump out it if you want his Adm. off the table.

I was answering as that is NOT correct about Biden/Kamala.
We all know how many lost their jobs during the pandemic. These jobs look like they were "added" back into the economy but they were always there, just not filled.
I want NEITHER of them. I truly wish we could have 2 new, good people running. This country is a mess and funny how even the news stations that used to be up this admins butt have turned on them.

Re: Further on Voting for Kamala
You asked about qualifications and what Harris has done as VP. As VP, they have added jobs back and much more than that lost or eliminated during CoVid.
"...With steady progress through 2021 and the first half of 2022, the jobs recovery was eventually completed in June 2022, when total nonfarm employment passed its pre-pandemic high of 152.4 million. Hiring didn’t stop there, however. Despite the Fed’s efforts to cool the labor market in order to bring down inflation, hiring continued to be strong through 2022 and large parts of 2023. By October 2023, nonfarm payrolls had increased to 156.9 million, exceeding their pre-pandemic peak by 4.6 million jobs.:

Amazing. Have you tried to get a job lately? It is VERY difficult now and not just in NYS. All over the country it is the same thing. Companies putting up jobs and never hiring anyone. They ghost people constantly.
These jobs might be up on employment sites but how about finding out how many are actually filled by these employers.

That may be true now although unemployment numbers are still low. Jobs report came in softer but it was still over 100k.
For inflation to pull back, the economy has to slow.
Again, the unemployment number is ticking up but it's still low which is an indication that the labor market is still relatively strong. Last JOLTS report was unchanged. We will see what the Sept reporting will show. Those are backwards looking indicators though.

Re: Further on Voting for Kamala
These are consistent variables of all administrations. It's also why I referenced the JOLTS as well.
You wanted to some reasons for the support of Harris and accomplishments but you are trying to discount positives while she has been VP. The limitations in the Unemployment numbers didn't change because she became VP. They are the same limitations that previous administrations have used to prove their own success in office.

Agreed. Just indicating how they come about numbers. So when they boast about the numbers, none of them should take the credit and new jobs after Covid were most likely NOT created by this administration. They were already there and just people came back to them.

Re: Further on Voting for Kamala
If you really want to find out about something/someone there is a thing called GOOGLE. You can find out a lot of information it is truly remarkable. I know Kamala she hasn't been convicted of fraud 34 counts. I know she won't be with a porn star cheating on her spouse. I know she won't be operating a fake university to rip people off. I know that she hasn't been convicted of rape. I know she hasn't been found guilty of defrauding a charity. I know she hasn't bankrupted casino's 6 times. I know she hasn't been impeached twice. I know she won't try to have her V.P killed. I know her V.P will support her for reelection unlike Pence. Bless your Heart

Exactly!! Your question was "what has she accomplished as VP?" All they can do is bash the opponent because it's easier I guess.
Has she even taken any questions yet?

If you both scroll to early answers, I did answer what accomplishments as VP that I think are important. I also shared what about her resume makes her qualified. You have chosen to skip over my answer.

Are you referring to a press conference? Debate?
Do you think Harris is concerned about how she will come across being asked questions? She is a former prosecutor and AG. Go watch her back when she was a Senator/VP and how she spoke during congressional hearings.
I don't think she is concerned about having to answer questions.
