FYI for Dr. Brown's users
I called handi-craft today to complain that the paint is peeling off the bottles. They are sending me all brand new bottles and nipples. They assured me the paint is non toxic however, i have only been using them for a few weeks, so the paint really shouldnt be chipping. Just wanted to give a heads up on how to get some new bottles!

Thanks so much! I was just noticing the same thing yesterday. Did you have to complain that there was a "problem" with the bottles, or just mention that the paint was peeling?

just that the paint was peeling and that the nipples are getting clogged. the customer rep was really nice.

Re: FYI for Dr. Brown's users
We have used these bottles and noticed the paint wearing - peeling and we only used them a few times when I pumped!

Believe it or not if you make them too tight they leak. Don't make them as tight and that should solve your problem.

I have been using them for a month and a half and they have never leaked. My paint isn't peeling off either.
Oops maybe it is

Re: FYI for Dr. Brown's users
My bottles are 7 months old and the paint is not chipping or wearing off. Maybe because I don't put them in the dishwasher?

That's good to know. I put mine in the dishwasher and onm sani-rinse cycle and have no problems with the paint. I've never had a problem with leaking either.
