FYI...STRIDE RITE OUTLET IN LAKE SUCCESS!!!....
I went to the outlet in the lake success shopping center today to get Jacob some new shoes. I bought 2 pair (one for 19.99, the other for 17.99!! SCORE! ) and as i was checking out the clerk asked me if i liked the store? Found it convenient? liked the prices? etc.. I was like HELL YEAH! And he said I should log onto stride rite's website and write an email to corporate b/c they are thinking of shutting it down and putting some other shoe store there. The only stride rite outlet then would be out in Riverhead. 
I was soooo mad!! Just wanted to pass the info along in case some other mommy's really like that stride rite store. I mean i know these days alot of people order them online, but it was still nice to know I didnt have to schlep to Riverhead if I didnt want to.

I didn't even know there was a stride rite outlet in lake sucess, but now that I know it certainly is a lot closer to me then riverhead.
Maybe we should start an online petition for them to keep it open through here!!!! And maybe it'll help to increase sales too because I'm sure there are people looking to buy new shoes for their kids now that fall is upon us, and the holidays are too!!

I sent them an email through their contact us section urging them to keep the store open as many families in the area shop there.

Thanks for giving us the heads up. I love having that store there. I emailed them as well. It's much more convenient than Riverhead and I'm sure it's more accessible to people in the city, like in Queens. It's always less crowded than Riverhead and they have a different selelction. I really hope we can do something about this.  I can't afford to pay full price. That's for sure. And I don't go to Riverhead often so that's out too.
