Games/Activites for kids at a party
Im having my dd first bday inside and i need some games /activity ideas for the kids. I have about 3 games and a face painter coming. I am thinking i need about 2 or 3 more activites. I just want to make sure i have enough for all the kids to keep them busy.
I was thinking of having them decorate their own cupcakes but im going to have a ton of candy there so i dont know if cupcakes will be overkill. Especially since there will obviously be cake.
All ideas welcome.
Is it stupid to give the kids bubble wands? Indoors is that silly?
Its 14 kids age range from 11 to 1 1/2

I wouldn't suggest bubbles inside, if they spill they can make a mess. I ordered some craft activities from Oriental Trading, had a bunch of markers/crayons and construction paper and coloring books, I had pipe cleaners and a box of Fruit Loops ad the kids made edible bracelets. That was more then enough crafts. I also had a clown for an hour.

If you have a big open space for it - potato sack races!
- musical chairs - I recently read about a different spin. Instead of using chairs, you play with hula hoops and take away a hula hoop each round. But instead of anyone being out - all the kids have to squish into the hula hoops as they get less and less. Should be fun by the time you get to one.
I usually have a craft table at my parties. I usually get them from oriental trading.com

Crafts thats a great idea! Thanks!
Open to more ideas!
ETA: When you put the crafts out, did you rent a kid size table and chairs or did you put it on a reg size table? I have a few lil ones who wouldn't reach a reg table unless sitting on an adults lap...

I used a regular table and adults did help the little ones.

Wikki stix are fun and not at all messy. Some places sell a bundle of them advertised as favors but it will have 25 sets of the kits in them for around $15.00

How about some games. Limbo is always fun (Walmart sells a blow up Limbo stick), freeze dance is a hit, pin the something on whatever your theme is would be cute. We did our bubble machine indoors for a recent party, and that wasn't a good idea lol, carpet was pretty wet. Thankfully we did that right before everyone went home!

I used a regular table. The parents helped the kids who couldn't reach.
