Gay Child Spinoff

although hypocritical, do you think you'd be more accepting of your daughter being a lesbian than your son being gay?

I would like to think that I would be equally accepting, but I have to say that I think I may be more accepting of a gay son than a gay daughter. I have had many gay male friends. I feel so comfortable with most gay men. I met my friend's dad who is gay and we just hit it off. I have less experience wiht gay women.

equal.

it would be their personalities that would affect which direction our relationship went in... not gay male vs lesbian female.

I honestly don't know that it wouldn't bother a parent if either a son or daughter were gay.

sure, many of us are open minded and accepting. but being gay is still hard in our closed minded society, sadly. I would fear for my child's safety and happiness.

I think men are more accepting of lesbians, not society as a whole.

Honestly, I think that this is because a majority of men don't mind the thought of two women together, but can't stand the thought of two men together.

To answer the question, I will accept and love my child regardless of their sexual orientation.
