GD MOMS, quick Question...
How many times did you have to see the Dr for your last month? I am going twice a week...Once at the Madonna place for a bio scan then to my regular Dr. I just learned last night that Madonna also wants me to get another Growth sono and see their Dr??? Why?? I have my own Dr... Anyone else go through this, is this normal??? Like I have mentioned, I didnt go through any of this with my DD and I had GD with her too and she was born perfectly fine and a perfect size, not too big or too small...

Re: GD MOMS, quick Question...
i haven't been THROUGH this yet - but saw the Maternal Doc Tuesday...
She told us that starting at 32 weeks, i start going in twice a week for non stress tests. She mentioned bio-physicals, but i'm not sure if that's a weekly thing...
Are you giving birth at Madonna? Maybe they want you seen by someone who will be at the birth itself??? (i truly have no idea - just trying to understand and give thoughts)..

Re: GD MOMS, quick Question...
I have 2 appointments per week
I go to the high risk maternal fetal medicine group for weekly sono's/biophysical and I see my OB at my regular once per week appointments.
It's normal at the end of pregnancy.
They are estimating my LO to be average size and not big at all based on my sono's. (The GD nurse is guessing somewhere in the 7lb range)

No, my Dr. is not with Madonna, the only reason why I went there was because of the GD. I am getting the Bioscans there because of the time convenience, my own Dr. does not have Sonos done at night and I can't leave work early so I am going to Madonna. I am going to my Dr. tonight and ask her...It would make more sense to me if I get the growth sono and bio scan done the same night and have MY dr. review them, the one who will be delivery...not this other Dr, right???

Is the Dr. where you are getting the bio scans done seeing you too??
Thats what I dont understand, why do I have to see this other Dr??? Just because he saw me for the GD??? I have seen him once for about 2 minutes and he said keep up the good work and that was it, he's the same one who prescribed medicine and it turned out that I never needed it, my machine was not calibrated and was giving false readings...

No, but the person doing the biophyiscals is the GD nurse. I know if there were issues, they'd probably have me see the Dr. I have seen 1 or 2 of the Drs. there on occassion, but for other reasons, not because of the GD.

Re: GD MOMS, quick Question...
i do believe that i will be seeing my regular doc as well as the Maternal Doc towards the end. i have an appointment to see here again in 4 weeks...and my regular doc on Tuesday...
The Maternal doc is the one checking on my GD progress and is the one ordering the Growth Sonos/bio-physicals and non stress tests....

Re: GD MOMS, quick Question...
This is all so confusing to me, I hate to sound like an idiot... I just assumed it would be the same as my last pregnancy, I went to the dietician once at madonna and that was it....I feel like I see them more than my own Dr, Well, actually, I see the nurses more, who might I add are very nice I am going to my weekly appointment with my dr. tonight and see what she says, she just seems to go along with whatever Madonna wants/says...I feel like she is the secondary Dr and Madonna is the primary...

Re: GD MOMS, quick Question...
you don't sound like an idiot at ALL...there's a lot going on...so i guess in some ways - the Madonna doctor/nurse/specialist person IS technically in charge...because if they say the baby is getting too big - it would affect when you deliver, etc...(i'd think).
