Gender Determination: How often wrong?

Hope you are all well. I frequently read this page but have not posted all pregnancy. We are having a baby girl...I am 36 weeks today. However, everyone tells me I must be having a boy bc of the way I am carrying!!! How many of you have heard of the sono being wrong?!!! Just curious...bc I am mentally prepping for our baby Bridget to be a boy bc of everyone! HAHA!

I would put slightly more faith in a sonogram picture than an old wives tale that has no basis on any science, and is wrong just as often as it is right.... Chat Icon Chat Icon

Thanks :) We always say that...just everyone (and I mean everyone!) says we must be having a boy! I know whatever happens all that matters is that our baby is healthy! We already decided that if it is a boy....we will have the biggest laugh of our lives! What else would we do...oh, and he better like his ladybug themed nursery!

They say that the sonograms are 95% accurate these days. . . .

and other than reading stories on here, I have never heard of a mistake.

Like I said - all we want is a helathy baby---and she has been called Bridget since 21 weeks! If it is a boy...we will have quite a shock! I am hoping that we fall into that 95% accurate category :)
