gender guess at 13 week ultrascreen

I went for my 13 week ultrascreen and the tech guessed that it was a girl!! I think only because she couldn't see the "boy part". When the doctor came in, he wouldn't even look!! He said it's too early and whatever the tech told me was a lie!! Do you agree?? I know it isn't 100 percent yet but was hoping it was slightly accurate. What do you think?

When I went for my Ultra Screen, the doctor said if he HAD to guess, he would say girl, but that's because he didn't see a boy part either and not to go around telling people he said that bc it really was way too early to tell. Turns out we are having a girl, but if you think about it, he had a 50/50 chance of being right .

My tech told me a guess @ that time is 75 % correct

At my DD 12w ultrascreen appt. I swore up and down I saw a penis. I have 2 boys and I "know" what that looks like on a sono especially from underneath. Boy were we surprised when we had our 20w sono and they told us a girl! We were shocked! In a good way of course! The tech and doc wouldn't guess at all so it was me trying to figure it out!

My OB "guessed" boy correctly & we got a great shot at 12 weeks... BUT by the anatomical pics, I can see how boy & girl is really hard to tell at 12 weeks.

They guessed boy at my 12 week and its a girl.

I believe that I've read that at 13 weeks it's over 80% accurate. It's all about the angle of the "parts" at that time. Both of my 12-13 weeks scans clearly indicated the genders correctly!
