Ultrascreen/Level 1 gender guess- was it correct?
I had my level 1 this morning and the sono tech gave me a guess but said not to go shopping yet as it's still really early to tell.
I'm wondering how often early guesses are right. Please take my poll
Thanks!!!

Did not answer your poll b/c there wasn't a choice for guessed right twice.
Not the tech - but the Dr. that did the sono (at LIJ) - I had the same Dr. both times - Told me it was a boy at the ultrascreen with my first, and told me it was a girl at my ultrascreen with my 2nd. Both times he seemed pretty confident - both times he was correct!

if you have a profile sono picture you can FM it to me and I can take a look. I am 99% accurate.

Re: Ultrascreen/Level 1 gender guess- was it correct?
I said other because I have a boy and a girl and went to the same doctor for my ultrascreen. He knew that my son was a boy at 12.5 weeks and was right and he knew that my daughter was a girl and 11.5 weeks and was right as well.
I wouldn't use the word "guess" in these case: if someone knows what they are doing they will be able to tell even that early.

They refused to look/guess at 12 weeks. They said it's really not possible to tell until 16weeks except in the case of amnio/bloodwork......

Re: Ultrascreen/Level 1 gender guess- was it correct?
depends on he tech, and in the position your baby is
my tech was 100% sure at 12 weeks, my OB said impossible she wont dare a guess till level 2.
The tech let our a shriek and almost forgot to ask me if I wanted to know, I said of course! she showed me the sono, and I said, "how can you tell so early" she said "look!" Omg really, thats the pee pee! It was much more obvious than I thought it would be, it wasn't really "human" looking yet, but I looked online and found a forum, where experienced techs look at your sono and make predictions, they were all convinced the 12w sono was a boy, and they were all right.
DS is really all !
My friend is an OB resident, she told me boys are much easier to see than girls.

Re: Ultrascreen/Level 1 gender guess- was it correct?
At my ultrascreen for DC #2 the tech and I both thought it was a boy because we saw a little pee pee. At 21 weeks it was confirmed.

Re: Ultrascreen/Level 1 gender guess- was it correct?
Because they don't sit still enough for a clear photo. Now that I've seen "it" in 4D, I'm convinced it's definitely a boy
