Gender Reveal...
So, this past Sunday, DH and I had a bbq to reveal the sex of our baby... as an idea taken from a wonderful woman (sorry I cannot remember who suggested this) on LIF, I baked a cake with the color of the icing indicating the gender in the middle...
As a way of telling ALL her friends, my mom came up with this poem the next day... I just HAD to share... I don't know if you can tell just HOW excited she is:
Mom and Dad just HAD to peek
while their little "Nugget" played Hide and Seek
Their decision was made
to reveal to the "Clan"
the sex of their child
...and they had a Plan!
"Let's have a party and invite who we may
and make everyone crazy from the start of the day"
Mother-to-be was destined to the kitchen
baking a Cake
and the Icing she'd be Mixin'
"Let's make them guess ...that's just how it goes
with Nikole's pink polished fingers
and blue painted toes.
"The only TRUE hint would be in the ICING
so look for the TINT as you're doing slicing ! "
Their Plan was successful and they continued to be coy
A blue tint was in the ICING
"THEY'RE HAVING A BOY "!
I hope you enjoyed this as much as I did... my mom is awesome! I can't wait 'til January 17th (also happens to be my mom's birthday - go figure) for her to meet our little Logan!

Awwww your mom is great! That is soooo cute and what a fantastic and unique idea! Congrats on your little 
I'm getting so jealous that everyone due later than me (im due the 14th) keeps posting what they are having and I still have to wait another two weeks How come everyone else is finding out so early, what am i missing
