generic brand formula
I havent done it bc I cant get out of my head "what if its not the same thing". I was at target had it in my cart with all the writing of how it is equal to enfamil etc... and I just put it back. has anyone used it? I know it is significantly cheaper but I want to make sure that it is ok.

Re: generic brand formula
Well, I never could give it to Ava because she was on a prescription formula, but you can bet your buttooty that my next kid will be on it (providing no allergies). I'm all for generic stuff. Medications, formulas, diapers, etc.

Re: generic brand formula
I buy generic everything except for formula...for the exact same reasons you posted. I have no idea why I won't just buy it! I;ve stood in the aisles many a time comparing the labels and they are exactly the same and about $10 cheaper.

Re: generic brand formula
I have a few friends who use the Target brand and say its fine.
I plan to try it once I run out of Enfamil. Ingriendent lists are the same.
Also ALL FORMULA sold in the US is regulated by the Government , so it is checked and couldnt be sold unless it passed the same tests as the name brands.

Re: generic brand formula
I also had this thing in my head about it. Then when my DD was 10 months old and we were soon going to tranistion to milk, I was in Target and they had a super mega 40 oz. can of powder formula on clearance for $8. I could't pass it up. My DD took it fine, no problems at all, and the cost was so much cheaper.
You better your top dollar I will be using Target brand next time if we have another.

Re: generic brand formula
I use it without any issues. Like someone else said, it's regulated by the govt., so if it wasn't as good as the name brand, it wouldn't be sold. I buy Target brand or Walmart or Sam's brand since they are all made by the same manuf. It saves so much money and even if I had a million bucks, I would still buy generic.
Target makes generic everything ....Detangler .99, Head To Toe Wash .99, bottle liners, Mylicon. You name it, they have it!

Re: generic brand formula
I am another Target user for both formula and diapers. Both work for us very well.

Re: generic brand formula
The target diapers I did not like at all. I thought they were paper thin. I gave them away.

I use target brand gas drops, they are 3.50 as compared to 11.00 for mylicon
I have not tried the formula because DD is on Enfamil AR....I know JTK said I could just add the rice to the generic brand but I have not tried that yet

Re: generic brand formula
I didn't hesitate to switch to the Target brand. We've been using it for months now and had no problem. My Ped said it was perfectly fine.

Re: generic brand formula
I almost bought generic today, but got nervous about it even though people assure me its the same - but I'm getting closer and closer to buying generic - so I'm sure it will happen soon!!!
