Honest question - does she have a criminal record? If you had done a background check, would something have come up?
I can't really talk about it...but, yes. Something would pop up on a background check.
Wow. Sorry you are dealing with this and I hope she gets what she deserves.

Get a criminal check done on your babysitters....please.
I think I would have wound up in jail too if I had come home to a scene like this. I am SO sorry for you and your DC. Honestly I agree w a PP, press every single freaking charge you can against her. It may just in fact save her life by being the biggest wake up call ever. Drug abusers are treated so lightly bc the courts will be like oh great you went to rehab you're doing fine. But unless you know an addict it is a life long struggle and relapse is so high.
If you don't want to answer you don't have to. But was she passed out? She robbed your house and then just stayed in? Like that mentality is so scary to me. Drug abuse is so high on LI now.

Wow -
Thank you for sharing your story, seriouis wake up call and a scary scary thought!
Thankfully your child is OK, and hopefully doesn't really 'get' what happened.
I'm sure you're traumatized though

how terrifying, I am so sorry that happened. thank god your daughter is okay, did she even realize what was going on, being that she is so young?

I'm so sorry this happened to you and your family. Thank God your DD is safe, please try to not let the guilt eat you up. This woman is horrible and did such a horrible thing to you and your family!
