Get ready NYC
Future 1st lady
So as a female and mother myself I think its great to focus on your son. But maybe she and Donald should have discussed before he ran for POTUS?

Re: Get ready NYC
Yeah, seriously. And he wants to spend as much time as possible at his NYC penthouse and in his "maralago" club in Florida? It's comforting to know he's taking his job so seriously and is on watch ensuring our safety.

Re: Get ready NYC
I can understand not wanting to uproot your child mid-year. I remember thinking it would have been understandable for the Obamas to do something similar. And people would have hit the roof if Michelle had not immediately moved to the WH.
But IMO they need to deal and find a school for Barron for the fall. Otherwise, this is going to be a long headache for all the people and businesses who need to access that area every day, and it's also going to get mighty expensive.

Re: Get ready NYC
I kind of thought that they would want to keep him here.
I don't think it is terrible for him to finish the school year here (although, yes there are security & traffic issues) I always thought it was weird for 1st ladies to uproot their lives because of their husband's jobs, especially those with careers of their own, but having a young child obviously has its own responsibilities.
Other people do this when their job requires a move out of state.
I don't think Donald was ever really an involved parent though. He has said as much about his older children. so, him not being around, probably won't be too much of a change.
It is interesting though, I remember Michelle Obama, being excited that they would all get to live in the same house again, after Barack being gone so much during the campaign. It has been reported that most night they all ate dinner together, and then he would go back to work.
Just different family dynamics, I guess.

Get ready NYC
First Lady and she doesn't live in the White House. Beyond bizarre. I get it. I get that her son comes first. It just goes along with my thought that she was not on board with his whole "running for president" thing to begin with. What a shit show for NYC. Utter shit show.

Get ready NYC
Its not well known but I am under the impression Barron is special needs. I am not sure what the issue is (Asbergers, ADHD etc) but moving him would be detrimental to his development. If you look at interviews Millania has to pick him up from school every day, not a nanny.
SO he has issues that uprooting him would be bad for him.

I was wondering about him. He struck me as a child with possible Aspergers after I saw him in a couple of different interviews on TV. Very flat affect.

I said the same thing to DH after the 20/20 interview with Trump's family a few months before the election.

Re: Get ready NYC
I am not really surprised. I am not sure their marriage is a regular marriage. If my DH was about to undertake the biggest job of his life I would want to be there in the same house as him every evening - just as a shoulder for him to lean on. But I don't see them as having this type of relationship.
If their son does have some sort of special needs then good for them for putting him first and not uprooting him for the rest of the school year.
It will be interesting to see if they do ever move to Washington...I guess the NYPD might have some input on that.
On another note I wondered why DT had ever gotten into a conversation about immunizations and his questioning their link to autism etc...I wonder if this is why?

I thought the same thing. I hate to make assumptions like that just based on how he looks on TV , but I feel the more I see him the more I feel the way I do.
