getting a new phone - is it worth changing service for?
I have the Treo with Verizon and I want a new phone...
I am between staying with Verizon and getting the Blackberry Curve or Storm or switching to AT&T and getting the Blackberry Bold.
want to "sell" me your phone????
Thanks in advance for any help you can give me to make a better choice.

I wouldn't switch from a service I am happy with for a phone. Phones come and go- but good service lasts forever!

The only issue I have is that I don't get service in my house(east meadow) or my friend's house(Whitestone). My hubby gets service just about everywhere and he has AT&T

I wouldn't break contract for it, but I would switch from Verizon to ATT in a heartbeat. DH gets better service than I do.

From what I understand Verizon has better service than AT&T. Yesterday I bought the Curve and there was a guy next to me with the IPhone...he was purchasing the Storm. He said he liket he IPhone but AT&T service sucked. I wouldn't switch. JMO

Re: getting a new phone - is it worth changing service for?
i would stay with verizon we had at&t and it was HORRIBLE. I have problems every month with them whether it was the bill and mistakes or leaving service area and roaming in my OWN town!
I would stay with it if you are happy

if you're not getting the service then switch. Love the Bold. I think there is good and bad with both companies.
Go to the AT&T store and look at all the new gadgets.

If the network is better in the places you are most frequently, I'd change the service - I switched from AT&T to Verizon in the past because of it (I broke my contract).

Re: getting a new phone - is it worth changing service for?
Verizon told my husband that cell phones aren't SUPPOSED to work inside houses! They didn't care. Hs cell works a lot better here than it did our old apt at least.
If you're happy w/the service and reception then stay. But maybe AT and T will work in your house?

Re: getting a new phone - is it worth changing service for?
while I sometimes feel like it's like having a contract with the mob (same as cablevision), I wouldn't leave verizon.
just pick-out your favorite phone in one of their stores... Many other cell phone companies have super-spotty reception... and frankly, a phone is only as good as its reception...
I just read your post that you don't have reception in your home?! forget it... switch! If AT&T is better in your neighborhood, go for it!!!!

I'm sure their marketing department would be thrilled to hear that.
I have Verizon & a Curve - love both.

If you're not getting the reception you want and you know with AT&T you will, then yes, I would switch services.
If you're happy with the service, no, I wouldn't bother for a phone.

i love verizon but your dh must've spoken to the two genius' that i spoke to within the last week there. today i was adding a service to my phone and the rep asked if i'd like to back date the activation date so that i am billed for a full month for a service i will only have for one week in my billing cycle.
