Getting kisses from your fur babies

How many of you let your dog kiss you on your mouth? I always get and give kisses to my two shih tzu's I love them soo much. I just pucker up my lips and they kiss kiss away! I can't get germs from this can I?

Of course you can get germs from that.

You can get germs from a human doing that to you.

Really it comes down to what you are comfortable with.

I like it when Brodie gives me kisses.

I love it, except for when she kisses me in my mouth, then its gross. O'Malley (my jack) isn't big on kissing, only my hand which is just as cute

I don't do this.
Sometimes I might let him lick my cheek.

I am shocked when complete stangers walk up to him and let him lick them on their mouths.
(this has happened a few times while on a walk)

I do...dogs mouths are cleaner than humans so I'm less likely to get germs from my dog than my DH

Anyway, she doesn't do anything gross like eat poop so I don't care.

I'm not totally comfortable with letting my cat get around my face.

He does ambush me when I'm sleeping - and he sticks his paws in my mouth. I have a problem with that... mainly because he smells like scoop away all the time.

I let Loki and Bruno lick my nose. They are clean. Fascinus smells a bit b/c of the folds in his face and his teeth, and Pyxie is just a dirty girl and does bad things to Bruno

Yup...I always kiss my girls on the mouth and I let them kiss me back...I love it

I let them kiss me on the mouth all the time. IT doesn't bother me. I let them eat off of my fork sometimes or Lucky likes candy canes and Porter likes ice pops so sometimes i share a little with them.

i totally let them kiss me on the mouth... they are like my children... and people let their children kiss them on the mouth, germies and all

Katie LOVES to give kisses. Sometimes she can get a little sloppy and try to french you but she does give nice kisses on command. Mouth kisses don't bother me at all.

They say a dogs mouth is cleaner then a humans...our baby does this-every now and then she will sneak attack us with kisses

Ew - no Scout doesn't lick me anywhere near my mouth and I try to keep him away from the baby too.

Tons of bacteria and germs in there - maybe less than in a human mouth but - DH got bit the other day - TINY bite by a friend's dog - and got a horrible infection.

Plus - Scout still eats his poo.

But I was never a fan of letting the dog lick my face ....it's just gross to me....

I love getting kisses. I don't mind except when I'm talking and his tongue goes in my mouth

I like one or two kisses on the cheek, but that is about it.

I have a shih tzu too, and he is crazy about licking.

My husband loves it but not me. One or two ok, but not crazy about getting licked to death.

i gotta say i'm glad this was brought up. growing up i always had dogs but was never allowed to get kisses. now that i'm a mom and have my three doggie babies................i love getting kisses and i don't mind my kids getting kisses, but sometimes i wonder how healthy it is even though our one baby kisser doesn't do anything naughty. hmmmmmm..........i guess it comes down to what we're comfortable with right?

nicky is a huge, huge, huge kisser.....

Daisy licks our noses and sometimes our lips if we say kisses.

Bella is such a licker and I love it

I try not to do the mouth if I can avoid it, but she is just a bunch of love and when she gets into a lick fit, she goes nuts - LOL.

No way!!! That is beyond gross. Who knows what part of their bodies there mouth was just licking!

My shih tzu licks my nose and cheeks as her kisses, but I don't let her kiss me on the mouth.

Piper gives me Sloppy Kisses! But, I do try to avoid the mouth!
