getting nails done when pregnant?
i want to get tips put on but can i go pregnant? i am only a little over 3 months...i heard people say you cant please tell me this isnt true!

I've heard that after 3 months you can but I would ask your doctor first.

I would check with your dr. The concern is the fumes, I wouldn't do acrylic or anything like that. Some of the chemicals they use stink so bad. I would try a wrap.

My organic pregnancy book (that shuns everything and scares the crap outta me) says if you do get a mani/pedi, get a "buff" mani-pedi. This is with no remover or polish because supposedly nail polish and remover causes minute brith defects.
My Dr., however, tells me that she got her nails done throughout both of her pregnancies and had healthy, healthy babies. IMO- go get your nails done and enjoy!

Really? My doctor told me to take my acrylic nails off when I was preggo with DD, he said it wasn't good... I guess every dr is different.

If you've never had tips before I am not sure now is the time to try. Your skin & nails will change drastically through the rest of your PG. I also personally could not stand the smell in the salon without getting nauseous
