Getting nervous for no real reason.
All of a sudden i've been feeling nervous..mostly because i know what its like to go through a loss (missed miscarriage in March), and i'm so scared of having to experience that again. With my first pregnancy i was sooo calm and relaxed..bad thoughts never crossed my mind.. After you see the baby with a strong heartbeat, does anyone know the chances of losing the baby? I don't go for another sono until 3 weeks from now when i'm 12 weeks..ugh.
Can someone tell me its all gonna be OK? Sometimes i need re-assurance!

Sorry you are having this anxiety Karen!!
Seeing the heartbeat is a great sign and it doesnt sound like you have any reason to worry!
Try to get the bad thoughts out of your head, and enjoy this time.
Wishing you a happy and healthy 9 months!!!

what you are experiencing is totally normal...we all get some anxiety at some point in our pregnancies. Just enjoy the pregnancy and soon you will have that precious bundle of joy to hold!

Perfectly said!! I cant imagine whats it like to have a miscarriage but I am sure your anxiety is more than those that havent experienced one. I am sure in my heart your baby is fine. I say this in all my posts but i really do believe in the power of positive thinking. Please think of the good and the excitement this baby is going to bring to you and your family. Dont let nerves and anxiety hinder this experience . Everything will be perfect

Re: Getting nervous for no real reason.
What you're feeling is 100% normal!! Especially not long after a miscarriage. I never suffered a loss and STILL get those nervous feelings that something could go wrong! I don't you stop worrying fully until you are holding your LO in your arms. My old gyno explained miscarriage rate to me like this: He said from the moment of conception, the miscarriage rate is automatically 20%. After you see the heartbeat on a sono, the rate drops to 3%, which is as low as it gets for the remainder of the pregnancy. That made me feel a lot less nervous when he explained that to me! HTH!!

Re: Getting nervous for no real reason.
I know exactly what you are going through. I had 2 m/c prior to this pregnancy. I was fortunate enough to be under the care of my RE until 11 weeks, having a sono every week. Once being released to my OB, I would get myself all worked up and nervous between appointments that I would call them up and go in earlier. So far everything is going great with this pregnancy (26 weeks tomorrow!!). I really don't have any advice on relaxing, because I wasn't able too either. Trust your gut, if you feel like something is wrong or you just don't feel right call your doctor. Otherwise, I wish you lots of luck and

Re: Getting nervous for no real reason.
My doc told me at my first appt that if a heartbeat was found, that theres a 90% chance that there would be a baby in 9 months! Ever since hearing this and seeing the hb, I've been praying that Im not in that 10%... Have yet to have another sono since then at 6 weeks... Going back Tues to get another at 10w

Re: Getting nervous for no real reason.
Its totally normal to feel that way. I didnt somewhat relax until I had my 12week sono and Im now going on 2 weeks since I had my sono and I am in desperate need of another . I dont know the percentage but from all the material Ive read once you hear the heartbeat the chances of a MC do go down. Hang in there, things will be fine
