Getting Ready For Baby Show..
*disclaimer i thought this was from babies r us because of the colors on the post card but it doesn't say bbr anywhere on the form.. soo.. i'm not sure whose sponsoring.. i'll call the 800 number sometime this week and ask though*
YOU'RE INVITED!
All future parents are invited to attend this year's "Getting Ready For Baby Show". Both parents ust present this card for free admission and a complimentary gift package at the nd of hte show. This is brief, light and enjoyable while handing out information on preventing baby injuries.
TOPICS: New and old crib safety, poisons, infant seats, car seats, carriers, high chairs, walkers, SIS, strollers, carriages, the latest vaulable safety information, recalled baby products list, what are the dangerous products to avoid, and what products are necessary
DATES: Saturday March 29th or Sunday March 30th
Place: Holiday INn, 369 Old Country Road., Westbury (Carle Place), NY (See directions on back side -*okay please just mapquest it i'm not gonna type all of the directions in*)
Time: 10:00am or 2:00pm attend either day or time
the shows are designed for couples, grandparents, and expectant friends are welcome at no charge, reservations are helpful but not required. For questions, information or reservations, please cal us toll ree at 800-260-1750
Small Print: No late arrivals please an no children under 13. One gift pack per expectant couple. Attending grandparents attending with expectant parents will also receive a gift pack at no charge. Both parents/caregivers should attend. Gifts value approximately $129.00 No charge or obligation. Invitation can be copied and passed along to other expectant couples..
so... i'll call and try to find out some more info.. like who is sponsoring it.. i hope this isn't like that wedding scam where u buy a bunch of pots and they promise u a free honeymoon..i'll post as soon as i find out..

Sorry for crashing...
I went when I was PG with DD and you have to sit through this whole song and dance, they just want you to buy their crib, high chair, table, etc... it's like a live info-mercial. They make it seem like all the popular brands from babies r us will injur your baby. Their stuff is ugly and overpriced.
Just wanted to save everyone the time and aggravation.
ETA: The "gift pack" is just a bunch of coupons that I never used and there are no sponsors, it's just this company.

no thanks!! i was trying to google more info.. i thought it seemed a little "schemy" especially since it didn't list the sponsor on the site.. like i mentioned it made me think of the honeymoon pots and pans sales we would get called for when planning our wedding..
i'm glad to hear it's a sale pitch.. i can pass on it then and just go to the one at milleridge inn..

It is like the pots and pans thing. I'm glad I just happend to wonder into Pregnancy and catch this post.
People actually got up and walked out of the place as soon as the guy started talking, lol. I didn't want anyone else to waste their time going there for the live commercial, lol.
