Getting sick with a 7 week old at home

What do I do...I'm nursing as well as supplementing with formula, I took some Dayquil as well as Zicam....do I still nurse, and can I even handle her????

Nursing is the best thing for them when you are sick b.c it gives them your antibodies. BTW I don't think you can take zicam or dayquil when nursing. You should check with Kellymom.com about that one.

I'm not sure what medications are safe to take while nursing, but I've read it's good to continue BFing while sick b/c you're giving the baby antibodies. You can take care of DD while sick. Just wash your hands often and try to avoid sneezing or coughing on her. Feel better.

I'm sick too, I have a cold, there's nothing I can do I have to take care of the baby, I'm hoping my milk is providing him with the antibodies not to get sick although he has been very congested from pretty much the time we brought him home and now he's developed a cough, I'm pretty sure it's because of me, ut what can you do right? You can' have someone take car of your baby for you while you're sick, you just gotta do what you gotta do.
