Getting TTC tests done
I was wondering who has had test done for trying to get preggo... I know they say wait a yr...
so for those that didnt wait a yr of TTC, did your doc run tests
-At how many months of trying?
-WHY?
-Did you fib about how long you were TTC to get tests done?
This is our 6th month TTC with OPK's - my doc said it shouldn't take more than 3 months using OPK's
thanks and to all!

Re: Getting TTC tests done
I have a PPO insurance plan, so I went straight to an RE without going to my ob/gyn.
I went off the pill in January. Started paying attention to my cycles in May. Started charting and using the clearblue easy fertility monitor in August. Last week I went to my RE for the first time, who said even though it hasn't officially been a year off the pill, she still considers the situation unusual considering how easily I got pregnant with #1 (pregnant first try without using protection, miscarried and pregnant again a week later).
At my first visit, she did an internal ultrasound, took all my information, looked at my charts, and took oodles and oodles of blood. With that, she's going to check my thyroid levels, my estrogen levels and eventually, my progesterone levels.
5 days later she had me come in for a post-coital exam to check how compatible Dh's little swimmers are with my CM.
Monday I go back in to get more blood drawn to test my progesterone levels.
Next month I'm on schedule for an HSG.
Hope that helps!
