GHI blood test coverage
Wondering if there were any NYC teachers out there who could answer some questions about coverage. I recently suffered 2 miscarriages. I would like to have blood work done for antiphospolipid antibody syndrome and the thrombophilia disorders (factor V Leiden) but am worried that GHI wont cover the expense. Does anyone know?

GHI has covered any blood infertility related bloodwork that I have had done. Some were a $15 copay.

I am the wife of a teacher and have GHI coverage...I just went this week for the entire Thrombophilia Panel which includes the tests you mentioned. I was led to believe that it would be covered except a co-pay by my Dr. I was told however that I must go to the lab that GHI requires which in this case was Quest Diagnostics...I can let you know in a few if it was covered. I think that they do not cover certain other Immune testing but am not sure.
