GHI EMBLEM HEALTH????
Does anyone have this insurance? And if so, how is the IF coverage? We currently have Oxford Liberty plan through DH. My job offers GHI EMBLEM, and we are looking to add it to possibly lower our costs and/or possibly have an IVF covered. Right now only IUIs are covered with Oxford. Any info would be greatly appreciated. I would ask someone from work...but I work in a small nosey office!

I have ghi they dont seem to cover a lot, esp in terms of drugs. It but it doesn't matter because it depends on your companys plan. if they already have a plan, try to get the group number and call ghi to see what they cover... Gl

i agree...there are soooo many different plans with GHI/HIP/EmblemHealth. You can go online to get the company's general medical policies on infertiliy but what is actually covered depends on what contract you have.

GHI costs us a lot more per month but the kind we have covers IVF. Thats why we switched. They have a requirement of I believe 10 IUI's first before they will cover. If you have a medical condition that is preventing you from getting pregnant or holding a pregnancy, they can evaluate the situation and change the rules. My Dr had to write letters, have phone convo's and fight for me to skip the IUI stage. They did cover all of my meds and injections. Luckily, we did not have to go through with the IVF. We got pregnant on our own at the last possible opportunity we had.
