Gift basket for NICU staff suggestions
Hi Ladies,
My son was in the NICU in Huntington Hospital for 4 weeks. He was released last week and I am looking for ideas on what to send to the nurses. Any suggestions on what to send or a company that you've sent/received a gift basket that you liked and recommend??

when DS was released from the NICU we brought the nurses and staff dozens of dunkin donuts and boxes of coffee (just a suggestion)....also i always love receiving edible arrangements (especially the ones with chocolate covered strawberries and bananas)

I would do something edible too. We brought in a variety of muffins for the staff.

We brought in cookies from a local bakery! But you can also get Mrs Field's delivered or Wolfermann's muffins. I sent Mrs. Field's to my OB office. Who doesn't love cookies? And it is quick and easy for people to eat and get back to work

I received chocolate covered fruit from Edible Arrangements (for a different reason) and I thought it was great!! I am planning to send the same to my DD's daycare as a thank you.

We did bagels. They were all so happy that it wasn't candy which they said they usually get

We sent an Edible Arrangements. Thecday he was released we brought in Dunkin Donuts for them

While DS was in the NICU (4 weeks), we brought stuff from our favorite bakery. Then on his release date, we brought an edible arrangement for the entire staff

We brought in a platter of Mrs. Field's cookies and a heartfelt thank you card on the day DS was released from the NICU after being there 4 weeks.
