Gift certificates with expiration dates
At my baby shower I received a gift certificate to a nail and skin salon. I just realized that it expired. I plan on calling them and seeing if they will let me use it - what are my chances that they will say yes? I'd hate for that to be wasted money.

It depends on the place. I had one for the avon spa I forgot about for a while. I called and they extended it for me but I had to use it within a month.

I have done that a few times and it really depends on the place and manager. Some have let me use it anyway other have only given me 50% value  Oh well it was better then nothing.
