Gift for friend...
Would you like this gift?
We searched for the good looks of a traditional English picnic hamper, but with modern convenience and durability. This one fits the bill. The sage green case has weatherproof canvas covering, and wide woven shoulder strap and two side handles for ease of portability. Inside is service for four. White china plates; stainless steel, dishwasher-safe forks, knives and spoons with simulated wood grain handles; wine glasses; two food containers; insulated food carrier; a corkscrew/bottle opener; and a picnic cloth with waterproof vinylized back. Everything is held securely with Velcro backed ties. Vinyl lining makes the case easy to clean. 12” deep x 18” wide x 12 1/2” high
and of course I would put a bottle (or 2) of wine in there!

It's cute but I honestly don't know how often I'd use it.

I feel the same way. Unless they are really the "picinic" type, I think it would go to waste...

Re: Gift for friend...
I really like it, and although I probably wouldn't use it much at least it would be an excuse to go on a picnic at least one time. Too bad you weren't giving it to her when it's nice weather.

That's my concern, but I think my girlfriend is into doing stuff like that. She used to drag my butt out for picnics back in college.

I think it's a really nice gift. I'd probably be really excited to get it and then, realistically, I'd probably not use it that often. HTH!

We got something similar as an E-gift and while it's a cute idea we've never used it.

It's mainly for her birthday. I kind of want to spend a little more on her this year b/c she's really been there for me...especially during my pregnancy and birth of my DD.
She loves Coach bags, but her DH tends to buy her those and I don't want to look like I'm trying to upstage him, if that makes any sense.

One of my other concerns is their "storage capacity" or rather lack there of.

Re: Gift for friend...
So would you girls rather receive a storage box like below with it filled with champagne and/or wine?
Or should I just get her a case of wine and/or champagne and leave it at that?

Re: Gift for friend...
If Going for a Picnic thing, I would go smaller..ITs too big and its too much unless you picnic like once a week IMO.
I would MUCH rather have ( and I love picnics) disposable yummy wines...LOL

I like the crate (by the way old wooden crates are gettng harder to find!)
The picnic set looks like it would be awkward to carry to me

Re: Gift for friend...
I got a beautiful picnic basket set for my shower and although we have never used it, it was one of my favorite gifts. One day we will use it, just haven't gotten around to it yet.

It's cute but I know I'd hardly ever use it.
I like the wine idea, not crazy about the crate...maybe a nice small wine rack?
