Gift for Realtor?
Hi, Our house has been on the market for about a year; it was a very difficult house to sell. We'll be closing very soon, on both our sale and a purchase, and were wondering what type of gift would be good for our realtor. She was OUTSTANDING throughout the entire year. She did everything she could for us and could not have worked harder. We developed a bit of a more personal relationship, and we truly respect and care for her. Any ideas on a gift that would show that? We don't want to be cheap at all; just a really nice gift to say "Thank You"? Thanks!

Re: Gift for Realtor?
That is really thoughtful of you to show your appreciation of her hard work!
Honestly, from a realtor's perspective - I think the best gift you could give her would be to write a great letter of recommendation and send it to her office (to her manager), and give her a copy for her to use as a reference with other customers. Also, real estate is a business built on referrals, so referring her to other potential customers would be very much appreciated by her. I know that I am SO happy when a past customer refers me to a new customer.
Any other gift is really not necessary, but if you want to make a nice gesture, I agree that a restaurant gift card would be a great idea. Gift cards are always great, but I would say it would depend on what she likes. If you know she is a huge coffee drinker, you could get her a Starbucks or Dunkin' Donuts gift card. Or if she likes wine, a nice bottle of wine or a gift basket of wine. If she likes movies or shows, you could do a movie gift card or broadway.com.
