Gift help: need suggestions on what to buy for a 17 yr old and 20 yr old
They are difficult to buy for b/c their family has more money than we do so they have very nice things (coach bags, uggs) and the things I can afford to buy seem to not be up to their standard. I always give them a little something for xmas and bdays and I never see them wear or use anything I have given them so I feel like maybe I'm not hitting the mark? WWYD? they seem to be up on trends though I wouldn't call them trendy b/c they come from a very conservative, yuppie/preppy kind of family so they wear Ralph Lauren shirts. I don't like to spend alot because there are 3 sisters total (i've got an idea for one of them) and I buy for all of them and I'm on a tight budget. I'm hoping $20-$30 for each of them.

i think it's sweet of you to do that...
i would do $25 GCs to Sephora. I love when I don't have to pay for everyday needs like makeup!

I agree with the GC idea. This way they can use it to buy something or towards somthing they want if it's a larger priced item. I think any 17 or 20 year old would love a gift card to:
The Mall
Sephora
Abercrombie and Fitch
American Eagle
Hollister
The Gap
Old Navy
Any department store
Any electronic/music store ( Best Buy, Circuit City etc.)
A mani pedi gift certificate
That's all I have right off the top of my head. Everyone's style is different. I find it hard to pick thins out for other people and frankly it's too much pressure. I only buy clothes etc. for my friends kids because that is easy. My friends and I go out for a nice lunch or dinner instead of giving each other gifts. HTH !!

I bought my 15 and 18 year old cousins perfume sets at victoria secret for 25 dollars. They had a bunch of samples of different perfumes that VS offers. Since we celebrate Chanukah I gave it to them early and they loved it.

See I don't think a gift card is appropriate....I don't like them because it's like your saying this is what I spend/spent on you, and I find that tacky. Sorry, but I just don't like it, and if they have money then they may discard it as not "big" enough. What about a coach/D&B/Banana Republic wallet or wristlit, Victoria Secret lip sets or a Sephora lip gloss set, candle sets, nice The Body Shop bath sets, or Bath and Body sets.
