Gift idea for 40 yr old man?
My cousin is throwing her husband a surprise 40th.
I have known him forever, and I know he likes Civil War stuff, but has every book, etc on it.
He works for my dad too, but other than that, I don't know him that well....
He's a nice guy, but what do I get as a gift for some random 40 yr old guy?

hmmm my DH is 43 but into very specific things.. like motorcycles and building cars.... does he have a hobby? a favorite restaurant? a favorite store for his hobbies? When i had DH's 40 th birthday party he got alot of funny gag gifts and gift certificates.

I was going to say - Is there anyway you could find out what his hobbies are other than the civil war stuff?
At a time Danbury mint made pewter civil war collectible figurines...

Maybe a newspaper or Life magazine from the day he was born? I did this for DH's uncle's 60th b-day. We also got a frame for it (but we just gave it unframed so he could thumb through the magazine and then frame it himself)
