depends on how much you want to spend. I was going to buy a motorized quad for my 20 month old nephew but his parents plan to buy him one for his birthday.
Some other cute ideas I had looked at for christmas are

gift ideas for 18 month old boy?
DS is 19 months and loves trucks, cars and trains. he loves his older brother's remote control car, big trucks that he can push around the house and ones that make noise. vtech makes some cute sets with cars and trucks.
