Gift ideas for two year old boys? Leap pad?
What was the best toy you got your two year old boys? Something they really like and can't put down. i know every child is different, but i am Looking for gift ideas for my soon to be two year olds and drawing a blank.....ahhhh! My hubby wants to get them leap pads but I was wondering if they are too young. They know how to use the IPAd for the most part. Two out of three know their whole alphabets and a words to go with each letter. One knows half the alphabet. They recognize the letters as well. They all know to count and recognize 1 to 10. They also recognize and know three colors, so maybe the leap pad is not so bad. Thoughts?
Any ideas / advice are welcome. Thank you so much!

Gift ideas for two year old boys? Leap pad?
My older DS is 2. He doesn't have a leap pad, but he loves DH's ipad, so I am sure he would like it if we got him one. Right now his favorite thing is his easel. He would stand at that thing all day if we let him. Most of the toys he likes right how are outdoor toys since we are outside all the time- sidewalk chalk, bubble machine, tricycle, pretend gardening set, etc. Little People are always a big hit, as well as melissa & doug stuff.

My DS is 2.5 and is really into puzzles... He now loves to do the Melissa & Doug jigsaw ones. He also loves basic building blocks/Legos, remote control cars, his IPad, etc.

I'm a fan of pretend play/hands on gifts over electronic ones to be honest. How about an easel, play kitchen, ball pit, etc.

Kitchen
Ride on vehicle (tricycle, plasma car, motorized small car)
Train set
Cars cars or planes
Lego duplo
Balls (t-ball, basket ball hoop, soccer)
DD received a leap pad at 2 1/2 and honestly that is the earliest I would get it. She plays with it much more at 3 1/2. I think it is better suited for ages 3+.

A fire truck.
DS plays with it all day long. He got it at 2 and loved it at 3.
I don't do electronics for them (unless they are breaking down in a restaurant).
