Gift Ideas... Sister at sea
So my little sister is at sea. Has been since August and will continue to be through xmas and into next year. She will her daughter's 3rd bday and xmas with her baby girl.
So I have asked the Daddy to send me over photos of my niece so I can create something for xmas to send her. Needs to be small and easily packed up. I was thinking of an ornament charm sized so she could hang in her rack.
But I figured I'd test the waters here. Whatcha think?
Oh and it takes about a month to get stuff to her ship. They have just taken over the airstrikes on Iraq. So I need to send my stuff within about 3 weeks from now.
I've already sent her two care packages.
She's missing her kiddo AND she has Dad with her as well. I delivered the ashes before she left in August. His ceremony (which I thought had happened) has been put off until her way home.
So I am trying to bring a little bit of joy into her cruise.
Last box went out with jokes covering the outside ;) MOSTLY clean.
so any ideas on a SMALL gift ?

How about a shutterfly calendar or pocket calendar with pictures. That way she will have and can always look at.

Would she be able to use something like a photo mug? I got one as a gift and it's my favorite since I use it all the time and get to enjoy the pics.
You can do notepads with photos, the calendars are a cute idea, a photo magnet with a collage of pics, a phone case.

How many pics do you have? I'd like a Shutterfly photo book since she would have a lot of pics to look at and could even show her friends on board.

Haven't gotten the photos yet.. but a book would have to be small. The rack doesn't have a ton of space and she has my father's box in her locker

The photo books are pretty thin and can squeeze into a tight place.

How about something to snuggle when she's missing her daughter. Like a small blanket. Give one to her and one to her daughter, so they have something the same to cling to when they are missing each other.
I'm thinking one of those taggies blankets, like this: They are about 12"x12".

YES! great Idea! She's middle rack and they are metal. So she can look up at her!
