Gifts before baby is born
I'm expecting #2 in a month () and as with my first, did not have a shower or sprinkle. However, a few friends have generously given me gifts in advance of the birth.
Do TYs need to go out now, or should I wait until after his arrival?

Re: Gifts before baby is born
I always do thank you's ASAP for any occasion, so I'd say do it now....while you have the time

Gifts before baby is born
I would do it now one less thing to do after the baby.

Gifts before baby is born
I agree. It's easier to do now, I'd personally forget after baby comes.

Re: Gifts before baby is born
I waited until after the baby was born b/c I had thank yous printed with each of my children's pics.

Re: Gifts before baby is born
I would do it how because you will have less time after and more thank you cards to write. I tend to be a procrastinator though, so I always at least "try" to get it done asap because otherwise I know I'll probably forget.

Re: Gifts before baby is born
If the birth is still a month away, I'd do them now. I got some gifts a few days before giving birth, and those I waited on.

Gifts before baby is born
I'm in the minority, but I would wait. We only got 1 gift prior to dd's birth and I brought it straight to my parents because I refused to have any baby stuff in the house until after dd was born. The thank you card will go out with the rest of the thank yous next week.

Re: Gifts before baby is born
I would write it now. I am also very weary about gifts in my home prior to babys birth but if the worst were to happen heaven forbid, you still would have to send a thank you card because after all a gift was given.
If you are not thinking in that way and just want to send them all out at the same time after birth that would be fine also if you can remember.

Re: Gifts before baby is born
Thanks for all the responses. I initially wanted to wait so I could use the baby's stationary, but decided to just write them and cross them off my list!
