the professonal staff chipped in for gc's for the support and maintenance staff.
i got token gifts for the rest of the professional staff- bottles of sparking apple cider.
one member of the professional staff gave me an israeli chocolate bar with a note attached that a donation had been made in my name to an organization.
my last day of work before my vacation is tomorrow.. so maybe i'll have more to report! lol

giving silpat baking mats b/c the coworkers are always baking and bringing in goodies.

The only work gift I give is to my secretary. It's customary in my line of work to give cash. Yes, seriously.
I gave her some large bills  and a big box of Godiva.
Some secretaries buy for their bosses and others don't. I NEVER expect anything in return... I have a new secretary this year who told me she has something for me when I return to the office - I won't be back until after Christmas. I think that's a sweet gesture, but certainly NOT expected.

THANKFULLY in my office we don't exchange gifts....well with the exception of one person who always gives something.
If DH & I are not exchanging gifts...I would hate to be "forced" into buying gifts for those I work with.

I got a box of chocolate covered pretzels and a Bath and Body works gift card from work friends.
and we did a secret snowflake. For that I got a basket of food things that I love, and the Baby Bargains book I wanted.
I gave my person a pair of pajamas, a book, and a lotion set from Bath and Body works.
We gave the cleaning staff cash and chocolates.
DH gave the people who work for him boxes of chocolates.

My Not So Secret Santa got me a 12 point wire ball whisk that I realllly wanted. She also included pancake mix and raisin bread mix from Williams-Sonoma.
Another co-worker gave me a crocheted washcloth that his mom made.. which was a very sweet sentiment.
And my boss gave me a bonus check.
That's all I got and all I am going to get.
I gave my "Secret" santa exchange person a Willow Tree angel, a worry box and I bought a fragrance warmer - but broke it.
I gave all my coworkers chinese food boxes filled with Lindt and Ghiradelli chocolates and a $10 gift card to Borders.
We contributed to buy one boss a GC and the other boss got a donation to one of his favorite charities.

My boss gave me a gift card to the Gap  and my asst gave me a cute Kate Spade makeup bag.
My boss said not to get her anything. I got my asst a gift card to Borders bc she said she wanted to get the Twilight box set and I gave the receptionist a gift card to a local deli where she always gets lunch.

We just did a Secret Santa.
I got mine this digital pencil holder that you can DL pictures on to - she loves photography!
Mine got me a meat thermometer! (we were allowed to give hints as to waht we wanted and I said cooking gadgets!)

We do a week-long Kris Kringle... the first 5 days are little trinket gifts in the $1 range (lottery tickets, ornaments, etc) and the last day, Christmas Eve, is a $20 gift. Each person in the office chooses another person out of a hat.
I bought my recipient
- a $1 Christmas scratch off
- victorian paper mache ornament
- little snowman figures
- a cannoli
- a tube of gold scrolly mini ornament balls
and her big gift for tomorrow is a purse.
I've received: (my giver did not follow the rules because she loves me. hahaha)
- a tealight holder with tealights
- a coffee mug
- a scarf
- a polar bear mini webkinz!
- a mini snowglobe ornament with my name on it

Yes, in our world too. The Managing Directors give a check and mine is extremely off the charts generous. The non-exempt staff don't get bonuses like the rest so they make up for it.
My other two managers gave me a gc to Saks and a handmade candle..the other a Michael Kors bag.
I gave my boss a bathtub book, wine holder and two bottles of my favorite wine. The others I gave an Andrea Bocelli DVD and an ITUNES gc. The associate also got an ITUNES GC.
The other assistants got a gc to VS and a gift set from Bath & Body Works. They back me up when I'm out. I got a gc to Sephora from one of them. The other gift is pending.
We all chipped in and gave our mail person cash.
I think everyone feels appreciated.

I have my own dance school and it's just me and an assistant I have for 2.5 hours a week. She gave me a pretty ornament and I gave her a $50 GC to Bloomies.

I gave a an Itunes gift card to the department coordinator. He gave me a book.
I am giving our boss a book and a sampler pack of Godiva coffees.
We gift small-it's a low paying industry, although my boss is always very thougthful & generous. Last year she gave me a Fossil bag, silver earrings & a Sephora gift card.

From patiemts I have gotten chocolate, picture frames,a bottle of wine, gloves and pearl earrings-I think my sister is going to be getting some of the chocolate just to get rid of it, I got 8 boxes!!

We did secret Santa and I got a 2.5" digital frame for my desk (so cute!)
I got my secret Santa 2 Calvin Klein ties, we all chipped in for the manager and got him $100 GC to his favorite restaurant

I got a digital photo frame and extra media card from a department that I help manage. I was floored.
I got them all (10 of them) a yankee candle, DD gift card and chocolate lollipop.
My bosses just gave me a bottle of champagne. I had gotten them DD Coffee, OXO travel mugs, silver coffee scoops and chocolate covered spoons, but I haven't given it to them this year yet and am debating...
